Gracias a Dios this week has been good so far. I have a schedule down a bit more. I am missing everyone. I am learning a lot. My teachers say that I need to speak more in Spanish:) Today we read from the book of Psalms a bit and then had to explain what we had read. Our maestras (teachers) also taught us kids songs  that we can teach the children at the Farm. My brain is a bit fried by the afternoon but Gracias a Dios for this experience and you are all in my prayers!

Bienvenidos! Welcome to my blog! I have now lived 5 days in Antigua, Guatemala. I am studying Spanish to help me better serve in Honduras. I will be here for about 6 weeks total. I live with a sweet family of 6! My guatamama is an excellent cook. School is the majority of the day 8am-4pm with a siesta in between:) I love siestas! Really not sure why we don't have them in the U.S. I've been running in the mornings with a local, and another missionary. Beautiful! 65 and no humidity! There are several beautiful churches here! My favorite has been San Francisco which is a short walk from my house where I attend daily mass, and they also have a beautiful adoration chapel! That's all for now my friends but please send me questions or if you have intentions I can offer, please send them to my email:) Voy a ver in the Eucharistia! I will see you in the Eucharist!

Hola familia, amigos y amigas,

Thank you so much for your financial, love and in prayer support! For those of you that do not know me this blog will be a story of the life experiences I receive over the next 2 years:) I am a catholic young adult from Jacksonville, Fl working as a pediatric nurse with a beautiful family and faith community. Through much prayer and discernment at this time in my life I believe God has called me to serve in the clinic at Finca del Nino, a catholic community serving orphans in Honduras. I hope to update the blog on a weekly basis and share with you the adventures given to me! Dios de Bendiga!
